On August 25th, 2005, the industrial dance music club, MEAT, will be converting part of the DNA Lounge into a one-night gallery space for local artists. We are seeking dark works in nearly any medium from Bay-area artists. The lounge and/or balcony of the club will be dedicated for display space depending on how much space is needed, while the main floor will be dance space as usual. If there is interest from artists, select works may be placed in a silent auction. For those unfamiliar with MEAT, it is a night of dark dance music that features a venue completely re-decorated in an abattoir theme, great DJs, video, go-go dancers, and free freshly grilled BBQ.
